Dear Shipmate:
The USS Henry L. Stimson (SSBN655) will be celebrating our 41st year, 5th reunion at the Groton Inn & Suites, in Groton, CT, 12-14 October 2007.
The following is a schedule of events:
THURSDAY: A channel fever and Welcome home Stimson night for early arrivals will be held at the Submarine Veterans Clubhouse, 40 School Street, Groton, CT from 1800 ‘til ???
FRIDAY: Welcome aboard and get reacquainted cocktail party commencing at 1830 at the GIS. Heavy hors d’oeouves will be served for 2 ½ hours with an available cash bar.
SATURDAY: Muster all hands Banquet night. Saturday will be an open day to shop or tour.* The reunion committee is still working on this and we will announce what is available at a later date. There will also be a Stimson Association meeting on Saturday time TBD. The hospitality room will be open to all hands from 1130 until 1500 with coffee, beer, soda, wine and snacks. Commencing at 1700 and throughout the evening cocktails will be available from the cash bar. Dinner will be served at 1830.
*Maps and brochures will be available in the hotel lobby.
SUNDAY: Anchors away breakfast Buffet.
The cost for three reunion events is $68.00 PER PERSON. If you cannot attend all of the events the following per person charges will apply:
Hospitality night: $18.00
Banquet buffet: $36.00
Breakfast buffet: $14.00
